If your switch is the round type (vs the rocker type), it has a short flat side
on the circumference. I used this flat side as a reference point and looking
at the switch from the back (connection) side I numbered the pins clockwise
from 1 to 7 with 8 being the center pin. The number 1 pin is on the left edge
of the flat spot. It looks like your wires are the same colors as mine so here
goes:
Hazard Switch Pin Wire Color Connection on Car
1 Y Flasher
2 (R) LB/BK Ground
3 (30) G Fuse #8
4 (15) R Fuse #12
5 (L or 7) LB Turn Lamp
6 P/BK Flasher
7 Y Flasher
8 (31) BK Turn Lamp
Some of the pins have raised labels on the switch itself. I included those in
parentheses next to my home made pin numbers just to confuse you. Also the two
yellow wires are tied together in the wiring harness directly behind the
switch. One turns the hazard switch center light on dimly when the switch is
off (normal) and the other turns the center light on brightly (and flashing)
when the hazard flashers are engaged. You can disconnect the yellow wire on
pin 1 if you don't want the hazard bulb to burn when the switch position is off
(it is sort of annoyingly bright at night and doesn't dim with the dash light
reostat).
Good luck with it.
Dave Bell
