No. But running plain water without additives, or worn-out antifreeze (e.g- over a year old) will corrode anything...Note that Weiand aluminum water pumps (and maybe a few others) don't have the warm-up bypass passage cast in, so it'll take a little longer to warm up, and your final temp will be a little lower than normal. This may be good, and allows you to use any Ford thermstat, not just a 351C... Cheers- J Deryke
