Thomas,

Doh! I didn't recognize the R and L on the switch as right and left. I think
you're correct on left turn and right turn lamp wires. Mine may be reversed,
however the flasher turns both on together so it doesn't seem to matter. For
wiring diagram consistency though they should be flipped one to the other (next
time I have to pull the switch out - not now). I numbered my wires before
taking them off the hazard switch so I may have inherited a previous boo boo.

I'm a little confused by my wiring diagram which shows a LB/BK wire connecting
directly to a bundle of black ground wires. It makes more sense that the black
wire on the hazard switch is ground and the LB/BK wire is the turn signal. I
think you're probably right on this one too. It's easy enough to check with an
ohm meter when the switch is out and the wires exposed (next time also).

As you point out, pin 1 and pin 7 (yellow wires) are illumination for the
hazard switch but the power is fed from the flasher according to my wiring
diagram. I think that is because illumination is controlled by the ignition
switch - unlike the rest of the hazard functions. My note that pin 1 was to
the left edge of the hazard switch flat spot assumed that the reference flat
spot was oriented down.

Let's try this again. I'd like to get it right this time.

Hazard Switch Pin Wire Color Connection on Car
1 Y Flasher (switch off illumination)
2 (R) LB Right Turn Lamp
	3 (30) G Fuse 8
	4 (15) R Fuse 12
	5 (L) LB/BK Left Turn Lamp
6 P/BK Flasher (pulsed signal to lamps)
7 Y Flasher (switch on illumination)
	8 (31) BK Ground

Dave Bell

A couple of errors, at least according to my wiring diagram (for a '84 GT5) and
recollection of the european signal numbering:

Switch pin (your numbering):
2 (R) right turn signal (LB) according to my diagram
 5 (L) left turn signal (LB/BK)
 8 (31) ground (BK)
 1 illumination (Y/BK)
