If anyone is interested in this Mustang Open track at ButtonWillow let =
me know NLT then Wednesday afternoon so I can get you a spot.
MD

Non Mustangs are welcome to come and play, but are not eligible for the =
prize money as this is billed as the "Mustang Suspension Shoot Out". If =
you want to organize something within the Pantera ranks, I'm sure that =
Ryan and John @ Open-Track.com would work with you. I'm leaving tomorrow =
night for the Pony Express event, then going straight to Vegas for SSCC. =
If you are interested, either call me today or tomorrow @ 707-939-2244, =
or I'll talk to you when I see you.

Griggs Racing would like to invite you to join us in =
Buttonwillow for round #2 of Open-Track.com's Mustang Suspension =
Shootout September 30th and October 1st. We had a great time at round =
#1, but it would have been even more fun with more of our customers and =
friends in attendance. It was the first time we've run with this group =
and we were very impressed with the organization and generous amount of =
track time (it's rare that you are actually glad when the checkered flag =
comes out), and at a very reasonable entry fee ($210 for 2 days!).
In order to make the upcoming event a little more interesting, =
Griggs Racing will give a $500 1st, $250 2nd, and $100 3rd place gift =
certificate for the 3 fastest Mustangs that have our suspension =
(K-member, A-arms, TorqueArm, Panhard bar or Watts link) and a Griggs =
Racing windshield banner. Furthermore, we would like to contribute $100 =
to a "prize fund" for the fastest Mustang, provided that the other =
suspension manufacturers do the same. Ryan from Open-Track.com has =
offered to contribute to this prize fund as well.
For those who were not at the first event, let me clarify this. =
All who wish to participate will have their laps timed, whether they are =
in the race group, or one of the hot lapping groups. In the hot lapping =
groups there are enough passing zones (5 or 6, I think) that being held =
up by slower cars should not be a problem. In addition, I've spoken to =
Ryan about griding the cars in order of their lap times after the first =
session, and he seemed to like the idea. There is no additional cost =
above the standard entry fee to participate.
We will bring our trailer with spare parts and crew to help =
anyone that may need it, whether it be a repair or just a little =
suspension tuning to get the most from your car.
Please feel free to phone myself or John if you have any =
questions, or visit www.open-track.com for more details.
