To those interested,
I did buy the Weber setup today, couldn't resist.
The price ended at NOK 7000,- (which now is USD 785,-). I also got the
Cleveland block. A quick inspection (I'm no expert) showed that the block
had been cleaned and honed (no ridge in the cylinders). It was very dirty
after sitting on the floor for years, but there seemed to be no rust. New
freeze plugs were installed, no cam-bearings.
The block is marked D2AE-CA and 2E4. In the valley there are three X'es and
six Y's at each corner.
Anybody know what I have here?
I'll spend the winter cleaning the carbs and then try them as they are.
Wish me luck.
