Ken,
NINETY-ONE???????? What were you doing????... this is golf not the Silver
State......The only excuse i could imagine would be having u'r balls eaten by
Gators, gaining a few points.. which equates to losing lots of strokes (not
hair)....Oooo.. i have to admit i am kidding.... I would be very happy to
break 100. I can get to the green in 2 or 3 at the most, but if i'm not in
practice... i can pitch, chip and putt back and forth, 'til it's dark outside
: ) Say, I must thank you, yes, you are too funny... you gave me a well
needed laugh..... just wait 'til i tell that to Ruthie....OK..another
question, since u are so familiar with Orlando,... what is the name of the
buffet where one can eat all the lobsters one can devour (i think the
restaurant has a girl's name)????? Some people had lobster shells lined up
table to ceiling, but i think i used self control, and stopped after 3.
That's not to mention the food from all other countries, as well, all kinds
of ribs, and just everything.
Let's see..... we also, all 1200 Corvetters, were seen going to a GO GO....
naw... i mean a spectacular horse (Clydesdale??) dinner show... You must
know that place. It would be great if we, as the POCA group, could plan a
couple of these type activities.. but the Vette Convention is a week long..
time permits more activity. As a group, we've done such things as go on a
dinner boat cruise on the Lake Erie.... take a train to Amish country and be
invited as a group to dine at an Amish home for homemade everything: peanut
butter, roast chicken, potatoes, homegrown salad, veggies, homemade breads
and fresh home made pies. We'd also go on trips to cheese farms, wineries,
artisans of many style. I wish we, as a POCA group could do such.... For
the Vetters, each year the convention is hosted by another region and each
year different activities are planned. The week is incredibly well planned
and very inexpensive... about 75, (without hotel, but with a big ball room
party each nite... bands, live singers, etc.) I think we could certainly
take ideas from the V. people... but I'd have to handle the "rallye"... to
make it fair.
OK.. I'll check my fruitful social calendar and see what Oct. duties look
like......hummm... Portofino? All Italain? Sure does sound interesting.
