DeTomaso Mailing List: September 2000, Message #48

I've worked harder on this car in the last two weeks than I have 
mine! Poor thing sits there whining...

Anyway...

1) Someone installed an MSD 6A and a tach adapter. Tach doesn't work.
    Which wire is supposed to go from the tach adapter to the tach?

2) The MSD has a white wire just bundled up and hanging... What's it for?
    (Remember, I'm a Mallory kinda' guy... and ain't got not diagrams)

3) There's a temp sensor strapped to the pressure tank. Stock or not?
    It goes to a temp gauge on the dash, but I plan to hook it up to an oil
    temp sensor instead.

4) Does anyone have a diagram of all the vacuum lines that are running all
    over the place? Some have broken off and there's enough that I don't know
    where they go...

5) Surprised that the engine doesn't have roller rockers...

6) The right rear wheel bearing is bad. Got the bearings. Got the seal.
    Ball joint won't budge. Upper front A-arm bushing bolt won't budge.
    Any suggestions?
    I'm ready to build a modeling clay dam and fill the sucker up with Liquid
    Wrench at the moment...

7) What's a Holley 7492? Looks like a 600/650 type Holley, but nothing in my
    lists give an indication of what it might be in CFM.
    The damned thing is sitting in a box with at least 8 vacuum lines running
    to it. What a pain in the .....
