Well, the phone company (I think) figured out the problem. After they put
my problem report together with several others, they found a bank of
circuit cards failing at a switching office. I don't know the details, but
it appears to be fixed.
BUT, (doesn't my a** hurt), my computer has developed, what has given me, a
MAJOR inconvenience. A week ago, I had a partition go south for longer
than just winter. After days of work, I have managed to get, well,
basically nothing back. As many of you know, backups of Windows are
basically fruitless, thus I have a perfectly work operating system
(re-installed), and data files. But I can't do a darn thing with any
applications, until I take the time to re-install them.
But what does it mean.......
The POCA Club store is basically down for the count. We will continue to
take orders, though processing them has become a nightmare. I have no fax,
I have no inventory control, I have no invoicing, and due to other things
in my real life, I have no time to fix it just yet. We are working in baby
steps right now. A restoration priority list is being generated, and I
hope to have things up and running as they were, sometime inside of a
month. Argh.
Please continue to order stuff from the store via snail-mail, or phone.
Shelley and I sincerely appreciate the business you have given the club
store over the past year, and we will try to keep giving what we can in
terms of our volunteer time. We apologize for the inconvenience, and ask
for your patience as we work through this issue that has affected not only
the Club Store, but also our personal lives. (heck, I can't even get
online at home anymore)
Thank you, and God bless,
Asa Jay & Shelley Marie.
