Hi all,
Inspired by Cal and the end of the 140 degree
garage temps, I've been getting some work done. All
the suspension is off and going to the powder coater
shortly. I cut wedges from square tubing to make
gussets for the lower rears. I also put a strip of
flat stock along the leading edge to armor it against
any more stone dents. I had some pretty good dents
in mine front objects kicked up by the front tires.
Should be stronger than anything I'll ever need and
are still light. I cut the bushing rings off an
extra set of uppers and put in 1/2" rod ends to make
them adjustable. The rebuilt rack is in and spaced
down. The wiring in the tail and doors is finished.
Starting on the nose area now. I've been looking
for undercoating in a gallon can to brush on, but only
find spray cans. The ZF is ready to take to Frank
Jerome at the Shelby meet this month. That's about
it.
Still hoping for an end of year completion. If not
complete, at least functional.
Michael
