All:
Finally took the initiative to grab the makings of my electrical harness for #2428 at a local Orchard Supply Hardware. Initially, I was going to make purchases from an electronic supply house. Glad I didn't. It was 15 miles farther down the road and they didn't have one-tenth the selection of the hardware store.

In any event, I grabbed as much of the solid colors (yellow, black, blue, white, etc) as was available. Most of my purchases were in 25' rolls with a few high demand colors (like black which is going to be used for much of the ground returns) in 100' rolls. My smallest gauge is 16 while the thickest stuff is in 12. I do want to product the old harness as closely as possible so other specialty colors (the multi colored stuff) will come from an outside source. My interim bill came to over 71 bucks (just for wire alone!). I expect my total supplies to be at least around twice that much. Nice thing about making a harness: you can test it before putting it in the car. Looking forward to that.

On the fuse block: I got a hold of four ATO type 4 fuse blocks. Looking hard at the diagram and comparing it to the blocks, it will be a slight stretch to wire the blocks in a similar way as the wiring diagram. I'm not going to let that deter me, however. I'm going all out to follow the POCA/Detomaso "6/15/72" schematic as much as possible.
