DeTomaso Mailing List: November 2000, Message #165

After once having announced to the list that I had sold my '72 to allow me to buy my GT5-S, that buyer backed out the same day I sent my deposit for my new car for financial reasons. So I won't get excited until the money has exchanged hands. But it looks as though I may have sold my car.

After having bought it in Chicago, moving it out to South Dakota, to Southwest Michigan for awhile, a year at Collector's Choice getting made all pretty again, a year in France, and some time in Spain this car will most likely be going to live in Boston. We're hammering out details like shipping and how to set up payment with a neutral third party so that once we are both comfortable that the car was as advertised payment and title transfer can be made. 

I hope I don't start feeling "empty nest syndrome"? If it weren't for still being so excited about my newer car, I would have a pretty hard time saying goodbye to the older one... I'll put money down I'll still have a little lump as I watch it drive onto the boat to go back to the US though....
