There's always the story of the guy who got a pair of Gov't surplus Jet
Assist TakeOff rockets as used on the B-47 to help it get airborne.
It seems that he strapped these on his Chevy to help with the
stoplight gran prix; and, as the story goes, he left the ground at 275
MPH before impacting the side of a mountain!
I'm sure Jack can fill in some details.
But, they're as hard to get as a flux capacitor.
Too fast? It's all relative.
