Mark,
I am using an electric fuel pump on my Pantera equipped with a 750 Holley
double pumper. When I first got the car it had a Mallory super comp 9000
electric pump the size of Montana mounted at the TOP of the gas tank. This
is the worst possible location for an electric pump and I completely cooked
that sucker while cruising to Canada on a 6000 mile trip in 1993. The Pantera
suddenly died in Syracuse, New York and I coasted to the side of the road. I
saw a NAPA nearby, went in, got a electric pump from them which is no more
than 2" square and installed it at the BOTTOM rear edge of the fuel tank
behind the splash shield. It was $49.
This pump has over 50,000 miles on it including Open Road racing, drag
racing, track time, and hard street driving and has never missed a beat. I
highly recommend them!
