I am actually going to buy a lift this time out and need
opinions/experiences. I am getting the Autolifters M6 freestanding lift.
The only question is whether to get the jack tray which sits on the lift and
hold a hydraulic jack that you can jack the car up off the lift with. Or, I
can get the jack stands which are two stands that are adjustable between 55"
to 81" that you lower the car unto and they lift the car off the lift. I
hope that is clear.
The tray offers a couple of advantages as I see it:
1 - there is less of a storage problem because the tray can sit on the lift
all the time and I only have to store a small jack.
2 - I can lift the car off of the lift at any height. Therefore, if I
wanted to I could put the lift itself at 18" and jack the car up to remove
the wheels.
What do you guys think.
