You're right, mixing these things creates potential hassles.
However, I didn't have the right tap and neither did my local
Home Depot, and I wasn't going to wait until I could get the
tap, when I really wanted to drive my new car (Was re-doing the
rear wheel bearings)! :) Reflecting back, a couple of days wouldn't
have mattered since the engine blew shortly after that!
