On Saturday I decided to go start the car and take it for a drive since it's now insured and registered (in Pa). I pump the pedal twice and hear a "snap" and look down and the pedal is on the floor. It broke at a weak point in the shaft. Someone had drilled a small hole to hold the spring and I think this added to the weakness. The break is right at that hole. I have gotten a replacement pedal from Glen Pascal (he had a fixed pedal). This is on the car now. My problem is the spring decided to do what springs do best and that is to let go and hide in some unknown spot where I can't find it. So I need to find a replacement spring. Can I find this at a local car place (how does one specify the specifics of a spring?). Thanks.
