DeTomaso Mailing List: December 2000, Message #126

As many of you know I have been rebuilding my ZF. This project has had WAY
to many distractions and taken much longer than it should have.
2 weeks ago I finally had time to focus and finish this project. Everything
was going great and looking perfect until I had one extra split ring! OH
S**T  what had I missed!! Puzzles are much more difficult when there are
extra pieces. This looked just like a split ring #421. I went through the
book several times and sent of private emails and pictures to friends on
this list. This looked exactly like a ZF part but a bit larger. My best
guess is that some one was trying to be helpful in the shop and put this
part with other similar parts. Finally after not  being able to figure out
for SURE that it was not a ZF part, I mailed it to Lloyd. I just got a call
from Lloyd that this indeed is a part of another puzzle. Whew!
Now I can get this box back together and get back to the business of kicking
the Dawg.
I am just a few months away from going VERY fast.
