Ok here we go.. Wild Tigerman Chuck.. are you sure that guy with the stroller
wasn't..... oh never mind!!! --- I knew my past would serve me in my
present life, as you see, the Corvette Club (excuse the expression) has a
yearly convention in a different city.. a week long pot pourri of all kinds
of activities for all .. it is sponsored by a different club every year.
There is a very well planned program for the children in addition to the
adult kiddies. I think there are two groups, divided by age.. with 5, i
believe, as the youngest who can partake. Each group has age appropriate
activities and supervision. Of course the people who do this must be
responsible and get paid. I'm not sure if Natl. Club assumes liability or
how the insurance is handled but could find out. People do pay for the
children's package.. maybe that's where the money comes from. I'm sure there
could be such a program worked together for POCA... might take a special
committee and time to plan; kind of late for this year, but we could get on
planning a pilot program or survey interest this year. So... If I'm elected
as your VP..... I will make sure to include POCA children in the Board's
planning. (I think I'm just "full of it" enough for this VP position--- i
mean energy of course)

=====================================================

Gang,
The last couple of years, I brought my (now) 3 year-old.
I had the wife and kid fly in, as the drive would not have
been much fun.
It is true that POCA does not focus on kids...
Although Jim Demick supplied him and other kids with Pantera
cars...we had to fight over them when we got home   ;-}

The wife and I took the boy to numerous places around Vegas,
as we were staying there a few extra days, since the Plaza is
cheap. He even got to sit in several race Panteras at the track.

Then...

For those that didn't hear this story....I found one famous Pantera
guy eeeneeebeeerated (Sailor-drunk), half passed-out on the hood
of a Viper. I half-carried him to the late dinner at the race-rock
cafe to join the group.

He sobered up enough to "sort-of" walk back to the hotel, down
Fremont street, thru the light show crowd. To assist his walking,
I had him roll our empty baby stroller. Part way along, I realized I
forgot
my camera bag, and told him to stay put, while I ran back.

Upon my return, he was GONE...and so was the stroller !
I got to the hospitality suite, to find him there (stroller too !)

Apparently, some woman saw him propped up by the stroller...
and asked, "Where is your CHILD, you drunken bum ?!?!?"

He replied something like....kid ??? what kid...oh yea...I don't
know, the nudie bar maybe.

SHOCKED, she ran off to find some security or police to
detain the terrible parent for neglect, and find the missing child !

Before they returned, this "dog" of a parent had wondered off.

HA HA ha ha.....
