I am in the process of restoring our Pantera and have had all the old paint
and undercoating completely removed from the entire car. I had the car's
paint media blasted off with tiny plastic pellets. The process is expensive
but very easy on the sheet metal as the plastic media does not heat up and
warp the fine Italian sheet metal that sand and other media blasting can and
often do. The other method which is just as easy on the sheet metal and much
less expensive is to use air craft paint remover. It is quite dangerous
especial to your health and quite messy. Additionally it is absolutely
essential if it is used the sheet metal is neutralized with copious amounts
of water, bad for raw sheet metal, or a neutralizing solution or else the
paint remover will begin eating your new paint job from the inside out. I
can send you a pic of the bare naked lady if you are interested. One last
though, it really is not a good idea to pressure wash Panteras
