I would like to hear more about the oil pump issue. I understand that the
high volume, high pressure pump will add a load to the gear etc.

My question revolves around how much pressure do you need and what will a
stock pump produce?

If you plan to turn 6500 rpm's do you need 10lbs for each 1000 rpms or not?
I think the stock pump pressure spring will bypass before it reaches 65psi.
A high volume pump won't raise the pressure it will still bypass at the
factory spring setting below 65psi.

If you add a high pressure spring you could get the higher pressure as long
as the engine doesn't bleed it away faster than the pump is producing it.
If the engine is loose you could loose the oil as fast as the pump is
providing it and still not reach the high pressure spring setting.

What am I missing. Why is a stock pump going to produce the higher
pressure?

Thanks Rich
