Paul,
The real Dynamat (see comments below) best price is:
three sheet (12 sq. ft. each) package of Dynamat Super from Discount
Auto Sound
(www.discountautosound.com) for $120 plus $24

As I mentioned before, "There is a guy on
the net selling what appears to be a commercial waterproofing material
(I think it is WR Grace's Bituthene 3000)" That's the place. This can be
bought at most any building supply for much less and you don't have to
pay shipping from Canada. I got a quote for around $56 for a pretty good
size roll. I think the details are in the archives.

I have some of this. It appears to be pretty good stuff. But I wouldn't
put it in the interior without covering it with something to seal it. It
seems to be pretty smelly stuff and I think would smell up the interior
when warmed.
I've been covering all the non-Dynamat Super (which comes with Alu foil
cover) with some heavy duty 2 1/2 alu tape from Home Depot (in their
heating/vent section). This increases the sound deadening substantially
on my tests on flat panels, increases the effective temperature range
(see the Dynamat web site and compare the Super with the regular), and
seals from "outgassing".
