Re: Stainless steel brake and clutch lines

I did that last year in addition to Wilwood brakes, new master cylinder,
dropped battery, etc. The brake lines are a pain in the butt. Take your
time and be prepared to deal with some frustration.

Note that AN fittings and SAE fittings are also different. AN fittings are
37 degress and SAE are 45. Now a lot of people say it's ok to mix and
match; the tubing will crush appropriately. But why not do it right?
Besides, your dealing with stainless, just a tad harder than standard steel
tubing. . .

A couple of other sources for flaring tools:

McMaster-Carr - online at mcmastercarr.com. They have tools, fasteners, all
sorts of stuff. I replace most all fasteners with stainless steel, and they
have a great selection.

Aircraft Spruce - call 1-800-443-1448 and ask for a catalog or online
aircraft-spruce.com.

Good luck!
