Ahummm, Ahummm, excuse me Gentlemen....BUT...... if you are seeking a winged,
flared person who represents not only the 80's look, but, as I understand it,
the factory's own mfg'd. optional kit with the flares and wing.... you have
found one. Bad taste you say? Well, permit me to add this about that....
as it was not immediately love at first sight when I first saw my car with
it's modifications either. On the positive side, I broadened my taste and
educated myself by viewing some of the other incredible winged and flared
cars owned by some of the more prominent DeTomaso owners. Check out the
center color plates in the book DeTomaso, The Man and the Machines, I
learned to appreciate the look, plus, functionally, as an upnote (which in
essence might actually be a down note) I do not take off into orbit when
racing around as my wing keeps me grounded when naughty...... my flares house
some mean and nasty very wide tires that I hear are coveted and much in
demand these days..... and my car once won the President's Choice Award in
Vegas... obviously the President had very yucky taste too. Love and
kisses... and Happy New Years guys.... hope you fellows enjoy your
traditional cars (yes they are beautiful too) but as far as I am
concerned..... my car suits my Lamborghinish Italian poor taste just fine.
I'd even bet you prefer Sears suits to Armanis too .... : )

Jeff,
Regarding your preference for Pre-L's: You are my HERO!!! I've got one
myself, #3024, early '72 and I'm happy to say that I'm keeping the fabulous
original appearance intact. My GOD, who are these people with wings,
flares, targa tops, brilliantly polished pimpin' wheels and blacked out
everything.... Knock, knock, the 80's are OVER!!! This car is awesome
looking as it came (except for the side mirrors) and what car that was
worth a darn EVER looked better after being modified. Maybe a '57 Chevy
with cut rear fenders (oops!!), or maybe the perversions that resulted from
trying to make the original '73 Lamborghini P400 (Countach) look more "up
to date". Give me a break!!
