     Experts,
     
     A fellow Pantera owner recently showed me an intake he had bought just 
     because it looked interesting. It was a dual 4-barrel intake 
     supposedly for 351C. We tried to check the port pattern with a gasket 
     and it seemed to fit OK with the exception of one of the centermost 
     vertical bolts on each side that was omitted as it would have passed 
     through a runner. The carb holes were weird in size, numbers (I number 
     them as the cylinders here) 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8 were 43,4 mm and 3 
     and 7 were 37,4 mm. "XE151380" was cast into the intake . Just beside 
     that casting another number was engraved: "XE151379 ASSY" and "$2" 
     (although there was just one vertical line through the "S"). Hand 
     written with a marker pen was the text "Ford factory experimental 
     police". Anyone got an idea of what this intake is and where it came 
     from?
