Unfortunately Montana had to reduce their speed limits to the same as the 
rest of the states with the exception of states like Oregon.  However, you 
can still have an open container!  Oregon (the state I love to hate) doesn't 
let drivers even pump their own gas let alone drive over 65. 55 on the back 
roads as officer smiley pointed out to me.  They have a hefty speeding tax 
there. Now as far as autobahn in the US  just drive I5 between LA and Gorman. 
 The average speed is about 90+ with many folks way over 100.  Cheers
