Well, now I did it.

Started sorting out why my drivers window doesn't work.  Checked the fuse 
plate and then decided to interchange the two switches to isolate if I had a 
switch problem.  As the harness has little play, and visibility isn't good I 
managed to get all the wires off and the switches out without figuring out 
what goes where. Doh!.

Thanks to SObill I've sorted out which wires go to which switch.  Just need 
to know which connector goes with which wire?  SOBills switches are different 
than mine

Mine are four pole Bosch switches, with ( when looking directly at the back ) 
two prongs offset to the left at the bottom and two offset to the right at 
the top.  Also, can anybody identify up or down on these units, they have a 
notch on one side near the corner and "Germany" printed on the back 
lengthwise.
