Don,

I did the the rockers by cutting 1 1/4 holes in both ends of the inner and
outer rockers, except the front ends of the outer rockers where I removed
the shield and the rusted away bottom tip of the door pillar allowed enough
access. The I brushed and blew them out as best I could using a long pole
(actually an old carbon fiber ski pole!). I then sprayed in (using a
undercoating gun tip on the end of the pole) and brushed it around with a
big bottle brush on the end of the pole. I used the silver POR and used two coats.

Was it worth the trouble? I don't know. The danger here, as I've mentioned
before, is that you can't really prep things properly, and run the danger
of creating places where water and dirt can get trapped and cause MORE rust.

An alternative is to use something like "Corrosion Solutions" that I've
reported on before:

http://www.rustproofingkit.com/index.html

This has the potential to be much more effective as it can get places (like
seams) can't be reached by other methods. It does have to be re-applied
periodically. I have some of this, but haven't applied it yet.

I noticed that this site has lowered their price to a more reasonable $50
(from $100 which was way out of line). I bought from another place for
about $40 I think (check the archives).
