If yours is truly trashed, bite the bullet and buy the Right Stuff from the 
Pantera vendor of your choice (or Roy Butfoy, who I presume also carries 
them?)

Replacing this stuff is NOT a job you want to do multiple times to get 
right!!!!!!!
