After getting a ridiculous quote for towing my car from Biarritz to Toulouse, I talked to the Logistics Manager for the company I am working for in Spain and called in some favors. It'll be loaded onto an enclosed truck and delivered with love and care tomorrow morning. They'll receive it in the afternoon, and tell me that the first step for next week will be to drop the oil pan and see what they find. 

So I'll have no news until next week. Once I find out what broke, then I can investigate my options.
