Gee, thanks Mike.... I think.
First let me say that my experience is theoretical, my car is still
under (re)construction. What I'm going to do on the floor is to first
cover everything (including rocker panels and the front wheel wells)
with a layer or two of Dynamat Super (the alu foil faced variety). Over
that, I'm applying Hall's "Space Age" insulation (except on the rockers
where it's 1/4" thickness would make the carpet fit wrong). Gary sells a
"kit" (a sheet with the correct cutouts marked) to do the entire
interior (including the doors I think) and also by the foot. It comes in
a big roll about 5' wide. Also, I just noticed in the Aircraft Spruce
catalog that they sell a wide variety of sound/heat insulation
materials. You might check that out too.
