I have it on good authority that much of the movie The Mexican, was shot in 
and around the Plaza, including inside the rooms.

There were also scenes in the TV program CSI of a week or so ago, shot in the 
Center Stage restaurant.

May be they are coming up in the world, at least they're trying.
