Dear Uncle Jim and all,
This coming weekend we have the Long Beach Grand Prix Event... let's see
where that's being held... ha.. just kidding..even I'm not thaat bad. It's
the exciting Cart Race on Sunday.... but also same weekend is the Palm
Springs Desert Classic...another big event with the Spectrum Auction and
Sunday Concours d'Elegance on the golf course ... many car clubs attend,
Ferraris stay at Wyndham, and lots more marques. Entire street closed off
and those who register park on the main drag and get an event T-shirt (at
least that's the routine in past years).. and lots of vendors too. Let's
see.. where's my Barber Quarter.. flip,.....yepppers... it's the Long Beach
Grand Prix, for me.
Sorry Jimbo... here's how it happened... GPS had inquired as to what the
events were in town... thus.... I started researching and found Good Guys to
be just about the only thing happening that weekend. I didn't know 'til a
couple days before and believe I found it for sure in Miss Information.. but
I believe it was in one of the Club's Newsletters too...no doubt San
Diego's.... Everyone should absolutely have a copy of Miss Information.
Forgive me... next time I'll make sure to post such events. BTW.... I can't
make the meeting on the 10th.. darn it.... got theatre plans that I can't
break. So.. I'll either be seeing you at the Long Beach Grand Prix...or Las
Vegas.
But,
FirSSt (I gotta put on a hard hat and dare open the closet where I keep my
detailing jazz).

Laurie,
Did the Forum receive any advance notice on this event ? I probably would
have made the trek.
Thanks,
Jim
