I TRIED TO BUILD A 351W powered car (93 Stang Cobra) for both drag and track
events. It did do both but not well. Drag/track susp. is very different.
It is also hard to go from the drag strip tuned susp. to track susp. without
lots of time and changes. Good luck to all that try both with one car. I
also agree that drag racing is cubic $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$.

I will be putting #1448 (completely rebuilt by Steve Wilkinson, including a
fresh aluminum block 526 HP engine) on the strip and track. I expect to
run #1448 at Englishtown Speedway (NJ) in the "spectator drags" this summer.
I also plan to run this car (I know I'm crazy, but you do only live once!)
at the Pocono event in July and the car is registered for the Silver State
Challenge in September. Talk about having your cake and eating it too!
You'll hopefully be able to view the car at the POCA Vegas event on the
third floor as the car is scheduled to be displayed providing Steve can
finish it by then.

I'm searching for that happy medium.
