Typically, yes. When I need stuff, I tell them a 1971 Mustang with a
351C and 90% of the time, it fits. Or, try a 1970 Torino. Should be
the same as long as you make sure they understand it's a C.

No problem... I do it all the time. I have permanent ZF rib grooves
in my kneecaps. ;-)
Just watch out that you don't step/hit the backup lights switch on
the shift box. The little wire connections will break off pretty
easy. Ask me how I know...
