Tomorrow, May 1st at 1:30 pm  the CA Senate Transportation Committee is
scheduled to consider S.B. 1081, a bill to require law enforcement
authorities to "objectively demonstrate" that a modified motor vehicle
exhaust system does not comply with the 95-decibel noise level standard
before issuing a citation.  The bill would is essential to protect hobbyists
from being incorrectly cited for exceeding noise limits under California
law.

We have learned that opponents of S.B. 1081 may attempt to kill this bill in
the Committee hearing tomorrow.  Accordingly, we ask that you immediately
PHONE OR FAX members of the CA Senate Transportation Committee to express
your support for S.B. 1081 and fair enforcement of exhaust noise laws.
