Catman... No matter what car a person drives or owns or loves.. the point
is.... you can not alter human nature. That's why it erks me so much when
people assume that owners of other marques are snobbish or unfriendly..... it
just aint true.... there are, as you see, just as many unfriendly, rude,
uncooperative and obnoxious people in our own little world.... and making the
rounds, one should readily recognize that there are just as many friendly,
helpful, cordial and vivacious people within other groups.... you can't
change the leopard even if you change his spots.. is that how it goes? Oh
well... I'm off to my snobbish manicure, pedicure, and massage.... and if
anyone in a civic tries to cut me off... God help them!!!

Subject: Conceited P-car owners?

I know this probably strikes a nerve with some of you (ala "fruitloops")
but I generally thought of Pantera owners as a very "together" bunch.
Needless to say, a few owners do come to mind as being somewhat
standoffish and conceited (a quality that find extremely hateful).

On the Central Coast, I met the owner of a dark green Pantera. After
attempting to get into a conversation and shaking his hand, I found his
attitude a bit on the standoffish side. I was a bit taken aback by this
behavior (even after I threw a few "key names" from the listserv).
Apparently, that didn't phase him and he just shrugged me off as just
another glassy eyed kook. Well, I don't think I'll be in communicado
with that ilk anytime in the future.

Additionally, I've met another couple who own some Panteras on the
Central Coast. Same crappy attitude.

My point is that here in the Pantera community, ideally we would like to
see open friendly folks yapping about their cars with others rather than
be distant and jerkish ala the "Lambo bull-run types". I had to take my
does of reality a couple of times already. Be careful: not all P-car
owners are friendly like this listserv bunch!
