Prodigy now owns Flashnet and they have installed a spam blocking software
called SpamShield. SpamShield blocks all mail from the Detomaso list server
because it's been labled as junk mail. Supposedly Spamshield can be
disabled for each individual mailbox from the help menu of the Prodigy web
page. I tried it three times over a period of about a week - none of my
attempts to disable SpamShield had any effect.

When I called Prodigy Customer Support two consecutive specialists initially
denied that there was such a thing as a spam blocker in place. Then finally
I got a supervisor who there was a spam blocker but said I needed to send an
email to PIFeatures@prodigy.net (which is the Prodigy Internet support) to
get it changed. So I complained to the PIFeatures group. After a couple of
days I got an email back that said I needed to to call customer support. I
replied that I'd already done that and would like the name and number of a
real person who could fix the problem, they never responded. Then they had
the nerve to send another
email to ask how satisfied I was with my customer support experience.

I gave up and fired Prodigy. It's sad because before Prodigy took over
Flashnet, they were great. Since the takeover they have gotten
progressively unusable. Prodigy has been especially unresponsive with the
Detomaso list server problems and apparently have no one with the knowledge
or
authority to disable SpamShield.

I just signed up with 'Everyones Internet' here in Houston. It's half the
price and twice as fast and reliable and as far as I can tell has better
features than Prodigy.

I hope this helps.
