Oddly, I was the one answering the questions for all the onlooking admirers to
the car. Lots of them were asking "who made this car? What year is it? A 72,
really?...etc" I went through the motions answering the questions while Mr.
Snobbola went about his business (apparently conceited and ignoring the history
lesson that was going on). Needless to say, I felt pretty good about explaining
the Detomaso Pantera to lots of bystanders asking questions. So there was some
good out of the whole event: a jerk got to show off his car while I played
public relations and at least got some folks informed about the Pantera. Who
knows? Another Pantera type will abound (hopefully) from my little talk on the
car.
