Oh my. Just finished changing oil and filter on my '95 F-150 302 after my
Vegas weekend and about 2500 other miles. Oil was the normal dark, as
expected, and nothing unusual until I got to the filter. I'm using the
orange Fram filters with the black hand grip coating. The black coating on
this filter was bubbled and blistered all over, as in burned from heat...
nothing on the orange paint, though. To add to it all, this is a remote
filter running through about five feet (total) of braided stainless line.
Not near exhaust, either. Anyone care to guess the bubbling point of that
black Fram coating?? I'm not sure my little truck should continue to try to
keep up with the Nor Cal guys and gals, at least not across the Nevada
desert. Guess I'll just have to persuade myself to step up my timetable of
getting my own Pantera. I wonder if Vegas, 2003 would be doable? : >)
I did include the proper Pantera content, right?
