If you could actually have a conversation with some of
the less than friendly Pantera owners, it would be
interesting to find out if these people turn their own
wrenches, or are turn key enthusiasts.
I have a feeling that most Pantera owners who get
their hands dirty are not likely to be snobs. In
general, my observation is that snobs associate human
worth with either affluence or position, and they
would never let anyone know that they fix their own
car. They also tend to describe other human beings
they perceive as less significant using terms like
"low class, working class, or blue collar." It's
unfortunate when someone is so insecure that they have
to cut down whole groups of people to sustain their
own fragile egos.
