Well I surprised myself today.  I have my engine out and was cleaning up
parts and doing odds and ends of work in the engine bay.

I was not planning on removing the tar in the tub, but without thinking too
much about it I got my heat gun out and started removing the tar.  Theres no
turning back now.

So now what is the prevailing opinion on how to finish the tub after it is
clean.  I have a white car, do you paint it white, black or add another kind
of liner cover?  How well does  paint hold up?
