First 2500 miles were fine, but then he started to get a persistant
mechanical rattle. Several people (including me) tried but failed to provide
a suitable diagnosis. He finally tore the engine apart and found the #2
piston lightly kissing a valve.
Bummer....
Might want to peer into the cylinders (if possible? scope through the spark
plug holes?) and see if you can see shiny spots anywhere on the piston tops.
