We have finally de-thawed, de-salted and de-sanded the roads up in New
England. After a brief visit to Cocoa Beach, FL. this spring I am convinced
my days facing winter in New England are numbered. Six years to be exact,
which correlates to my youngest child's graduation from high school! You can
take the native LA kid out of LA, but you can't keep him in the deep freeze
forever.
I have been driving #2096 regularly and have found this experience to be
beyond my expectations. The new brake system I put in this last winter stops
the car pronto ( See "Brakes for dummies" this last November).
Current question deals with a predictable "lag" when you stomp on the
accelerator. Current set up is bone stock Motorcraft. Is this why so many
people convert over to Holly where there is a secondary pumper that will keep
up? I hate to keep messing with this original survivor, but I am starting to
understand why so many of these cars are modified.
