DeTomaso Mailing List: May 2001, Message #52

Well, Shelley and I are on the way home.  We left yesterday from Las Vegas
and got as far as Twin Falls Idaho.  I'm writing this from the road, while
Shelley drives and will send it later tonight when I have a phone line.

Pretty nice drive so far.  Until this morning.  I was getting the notebook
set up on my lap when I heard a really big "Bang".  Turns out it was a
rock, that Shelley just couldn't dodge.  As it is, it smacked the
windshield within about three inches of the lower drivers corner.  Just a
good old fashioned bullseye that we should be able to get fixed once we get
home.  Kind of a bummer though, since the windshield was pretty much
perfect prior to that.

And now... we're stopped.  Middle of the darn hiway, and NOTHING is moving,
at all.   Must be a really big accident ahead.  We have an Idaho sheriff
with a slow sign down near us and we still can't see anything.  Well, this
will certainly slow us down.

The Fun Rally was a great time, once again.  Shelley  was a fantastic help
in the club store.  I got to meet a whole lot of new folks, and have great
conversations with some of the old ones.

Once we get back to Spokane, I'll be posting some new stuff on the POCA
Club Store web site.  We have a few special things left over that will be
the LAST time offered.  And we have some other stuff that should last a
while.  I'm planning on re-designing the web site too, so I'll let everyone
know when it's done.
