Cal,
John's work is absolutely fantastically outstanding. I'm talking perfect
perfection on everything he touches. I was impressed with is work on the
front valance, the front cross member and vertical piece behind and the
lower back part of the back fenders. I could really identify with the
front end work but the back fenders were awesome. The lower back fenders
were rotted away so he made new parts by hammering flat sheet on a sand bag
to form the compound shape. He even rolled the edge of the fender that
goes around the muffler just like the stock part. His approach, is to
manufacture a complete factory type part and the install it on the car so it
looks completely original. When he gets it painted you will never, never be
able to tell that the car has had so much work done. It's like Old World
Italian craftsmanship to the max! In John's case, I guess it would be Old
English craftsmanship. His car was so rotted away he had to look at other
Panteras just to figure out what the parts should look like!
I'm really, really impressed!
Mike
