Subject:Question on P-car body flexing
Date: Fri, 4 May 2001 17:54:49 -0400

This is perhaps a neophyte question, but I have been curious about something
I have seen on a number of Panteras, and this body flex debate makes me
wonder if that has anything to do with it. More often than not, when you
look along the edge of the roof where the door meets the drip rail, the drip
rail molding seems to rise away from the door frame as you go from back to
front between the B and A pillars. Look at any picture of a number of
Panteras parked side-to-side, and you will see what I mean. Some are much
more dramatic than others.
Any thoughts on body flex contributing to this over time, or is this just
another charming feature of our hand-built hobby horse? I've not had the
chance to inspect enough cars close up to see how this visual manifests
itself in real life.
