After I wrote the article I happened to be thumbing through my library and I
found an identical solution (for the headlight problem) discussed at length
in the UK club magazine, and Tim Tullio of San Diego Panteras gave me the
idea for getting "pure" power to the fans in a POCA newsletter article from
about 1992 or so. I believe the headlight syndrome had been addressed in
POCA and PI several times, the first time in the 1970's! :>)
I think the only thing I can take credit for is synthesizing several
different reasonably documented fixes for two unrelated problems (headlights
and fans) into one unified plan of attack. But there really isn't THAT much
that's new under the sun! :>)
