I just got a new message from Terry Parker, the creator of the Funnelweb
intakes.

Hi Thomas,
If I were you, I would never spend a cent on 2V heads[Aussie or US] I would
only use 4V heads, on a half decent motor they're worth 50+HP ova 2V's. As
long as you use tongues to fill the floor of the 4V's, you're still down on
velocity compared to a 2V, but I would expect to start making more HP by
around 3000/3500 rpm, then kicking ass from there on.

Comments?
My personal opinion is that I have no problem sacrificing some low end torque
for high end power. After all, it isn't exactly tow trucks were dealing with
here. I have no need to cruise the town in 5:th at 50kph.
I have been a passenger with Tomas Gunnarsson, and he has a closed chamber 4V
IIRC, and I can't say it felt as it lacked low end torque.
On the other hand, comparing the HP and torque graphs at:
http://fordmuscle.com/archives/2001/04/funnelweb/index.shtml
reveals that the 4V heads gives more HP and torque at least from 4000rpm, which
is the low end of the graph, probably earlier also, but then I guess those
engines are pretty radical.
