For what its worth, most guys totally remove the sheet metal baffle from both 
rocker covers when using roller rockers. There seems to be no effect on my 
engine (40,000 miles) and I've not heard of any problems from others. I agree 
that all the rocker bolts and at least the affected pushrod ought to be 
replaced. From the description, it seems that you are using the Crane 
conversion kit for rollers without cutting the heads for studs (or else there 
would be no bolts involved). Those bolts are supposed to be Lock-tited (red, 
I believe) and torqued to a certain level. Leave either one of these out, and 
the bolt(s) assuredly will loosen and/or break. My suggestion- J deryke
