Friday/Monday and I'll be in business. If the lifter or valve is damaged, it may
be trickier. Does anyone know how to change a solid lifter without taking the
intake out?
Wouldn't a solid lifter be okay to remove with a magnet? OTOH, is there any hole
big enough for you to pull it out?
I have heard that hydraulic lifters should not be pulled with a magnet as that
will destroy them internally.
Removing and installing the intake is only an hours work and I would have lifted
the intake. You will likely find your rod end in there also.
Good luck!
